The mission of the Transit Standards Consortium (TSC) is to provide an independent transit industry forum for facilitating comprehensive and integrated research, development, testing, training and maintenance of transit standards in order to improve the cost effectiveness, customer service and employee satisfaction. TSC is a non-profit association of transit professionals, organizations and others.  We have an elected Board of Trustees and a Technical Council. Membership is open to any individual or organization interested in promulgating standards beneficial to the transit community.

The Transit Standards Consortium, Inc. works with existing standards organizations to achieve the industry's goals.  It  is an IRS 501 (c) (3) non-profit association of public transit operators, vendors and others dedicated to the development and use of standards for the transit industry.  It is not a standards development organization. Rather, it provides an open forum for all those in the transit industry to gather to help set the agenda for the transit industry's standards efforts.
